Where are they now?
The Forbes Family

Carol, Lynn and Graeme Forbes swam for Knightswood/CES Glasgow between 1978-1984. They started off in George McLeod’s Lane and joined the big squad in 1980. Lynn was one of the top Scottish swimmers in her age group for IM and
Breaststroke and swam at the British Championships, Blackpool in 1982.
Carol and Lynn were also part of the female CES medley relay team along with Alison Teaz and Elaine Pollock.

Where are they now?
Lynn – nicknamed Spud by Jimmy – not sure why?
Lynn is married with two small boys. She works as a Quantity Surveyor and lives in Milngavie. She occasionally swims to keep fit.

Carol- returned to swimming training at Nomads last year and recently competed at the Glasgow Masters Meet. She is married with two small boys and lives in Old Kilpatrick. She works as a Renal/Sports Dietitian.

Graeme – concentrated on Athletics rather than Swimming. He ran for the Clydesdale Harriers and was Scottish Schools 800m Champion in 1992. He has a PhD in Civil Engineering and lives in Anniesland.

Most memorable Quote from Jimmy.
As Graeme’s slight frame entered the pool at Church St one Monday evening, Jimmy out the blue yelled:-
FORBES - I’ve seen more meat on a nose picking!!
