Social Conveners
Gillian McKelvie aka Chief Trouble Maker
Mrs McKelvie takes her role as social convener very seriously and is always quick to demonstrate how to best enjoy an evening out. Her tag of Chief Trouble Maker is proving to be altogether harder to retain these days due to the quite outrageous behaviour of Iain (Watch Your Feet There Mr Bouncer) Teaz and Paul (Stop The Taxi) Tyler. Full denials available on request ... Meantime Gillian assures us she is equal to the challenge.
Gillian's most recent social event was our summer trip to the Lake District which turned out to be a quiet affair. Aye right!
Audrey Williamson aka Commandant
Audrey gives us our marching orders - quite literally. Nomads have been known to escape the city from time to time in search of fresh air and a not too difficult hill to climb. Our most recent (r)amble was to the top of Ben Ledi, from which the view is quite breathtaking. (Or was that just lack of fitness.) In true Nomads style, we missed the signs asking that walkers go down the way we came up and ended up traipsing through ongoing deforestation.
Audrey's nickname is a result of her taking charge of outdoor activities and the need for her to put her foot down in order to achieve even a semblance of organisation among our undisciplined crew.
Audrey's big event this year is the Christmas night out, with the venue of the Shawlands Hotel in Lanarkshire just recently announced. Audrey will need to go some to ensure Teazy's shirt ends up with more red wine on it than last year.
Meet our social conveners, Audrey Williamson and Gillian McKelvie.
